“Huh?” The exorcist looked down to see the small malak, formerly tethered to Lady Teresa. What did he do, or rather, fail to do? All they were doing is going through Loegres and trying to figure out what he liked. After all, he was acting like he wasn’t in charge of his own will. There was an ache in Eleanor’s heart for Silva. All those malakhim the Abbey used were deprived of their wills before she had known about them-- but that didn’t excuse her actions of sending malakhim to their deaths, time and time again. It may not atone for her former lack of morality, but she could at least help Silva get in touch with himself again. After all, she had lost an important part of her life when she was young, too.
“You have to understand, you didn’t let anyone down! I asked what you wanted to eat.” Her voice grew soft toward the 10 year old child. “ So don’t be worried, okay? We’ll find something together, even if you’ve never eaten before.”
She gazed forward, then slowly scanned the area for a potential place to eat. There was a tavern. Could they have something? No, she thought, That isn’t a place to bring a child malak. She continued to peer around the crowds, to see what seemed to be a bakery, that sold all kinds of tea and bread. Next to it, two doors to the left, was a seafood stall, adorned with cooked fish , squids and shrimps. “What do you think, Sliva? Seafood or Bread?” Eleanor tried to chime, to hide her deep thought. Seafood would be more filling, she mused, but lets see what Silva wants.
